SilverTech Support is a Bay Area-based company helping older adults confidently navigate modern technology — from smartphones and laptops to Wi-Fi routers and streaming devices. We're looking for a reliable, personable field technician to join us in delivering on-site tech support and light marketing help throughout the Bay Area. What You’ll Do: - Provide on-site tech support for seniors in their homes (no phone/virtual support — that’s covered by our in-house team) - Help clients with tasks like setting up devices, updating software, troubleshooting Wi-Fi, resetting passwords, and teaching basic app use - Represent SilverTech Support with patience, kindness, and professionalism - When support jobs are slow, assist with light field marketing: door-to-door outreach, mailbox drops, door hanger distribution, etc. Who You Are: - Tech-savvy and great at simplifying tech for beginners - Friendly, dependable, and PATIENT. Must enjoy working with seniors. - Have your own reliable car transportation and are comfortable driving throughout the Bay Area - Available anywhere from 5–20 hours/week with flexible scheduling - Able to complete light physical activity for flyer distribution - Familiarity with Apple, Android, and other common household devices Bonus If You Have: - Previous experience in IT support, tutoring, customer service, or caregiving - Fluency in another language (Spanish, Mandarin, etc.) What We Offer: - 1099 Contractor role starting at $20–$25/hour depending on experience - IRS-standard mileage reimbursement for in-home visits - Training and onboarding support - Flexible, part-time hours To Apply: Email us with a 1) short introduction, 2) relevant experience, 3) general availability, and 4) why you’d be a great fit for helping seniors with tech.
