Position Overview: As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing mechanical projects related to DoD contracts. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring successful project execution while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities: • Familiarization with project construction documents and estimate. • Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines for DoD mechanical projects. • Buyout subcontractors, equipment, and materials. • Coordinate project activities, including scheduling and leading project meetings. • Identify and allocate resources required for successful project completion. • Monitor project status to ensure it stays on schedule and within budget. • Ensure compliance with safety, labor, and quality. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including DoD representatives. • Problem-solve and address project-related challenges. • Prepare and negotiate change orders. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or 10 years of field experience in a related trade. • Proven experience managing mechanical projects, especially within the DoD context. • Experience in industrial, DoD, or heavy commercial mechanical projects. • Strong organizational and leadership skills. • Familiarity with project management tools and software. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Strong work ethic. • Proficient working with Blue Beam, AutoCAD, Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Project. • Pass Federal Government security clearance (includes drug testing) and clean driving record.
