Asst. Project Manager – Structural Steel / Misc. Metals Responsibilities include: • Manage project communications, including processing RFIs and routing them to appropriate stakeholders (contractors, engineers, detailers, etc.) • Organize and submit project submittals; maintain detailed tracking logs and follow up to ensure timely return of reviewed documents • Generate change orders based on design revisions, RFI responses, and additional detailing costs • Participate in weekly coordination meetings with contractors and effectively communicate project status and needs • Draft minor components using AutoCAD and assist in correcting corrupted NC1/DXF files as needed • Field contractor inquiries and relay technical questions to senior project team members • Review RFI responses for discrepancies against contract documents and initiate necessary change orders • Prepare and submit compliance submittals, including paint product data, welding procedure specifications (WPS), AISC certification, and other required documentation • Coordinate and manage procurement of buyout items such as aluminum ladders • Work closely with shop engineers and detailers to ensure revised drawings meet design requirements • Procurement of materials, products Preferred Qualifications: • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word) • Working knowledge of AutoCAD • Strong general computer skills • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (a plus) Benefits after a probationary period include: *100% paid medical and dental for employee *1 Week paid vacation *401K *Paid PTO *Paid holidays Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00 40 Hours a week with occasional overtime.
