Job Title : QA Analyst (Release Management) Location : Washington, DC Type : Long Term Rate - $Open (Best Possible) Job Responsibilities – Coordinate builds and testing of releases. Coordinate the scheduling and roll out of releases. Provide communication and information, including relevant release documentation, as required. Ensure appropriate checkpoints are met and coordinate release sign off. Coordinate the implementation of the release. Complete post implementation reviews. Maintain quality checks on releases and record those that directly or indirectly cause support Incidents. Requirement – Strong attention to detail, coordination, and communication skills. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Must have hands on experience with a TPF system. Must be well versed in Schedule Management. Capable to deliver a comprehensive assessment of current state of project's release statuses. Previous exposure to ITIL release, service management and/or project management. Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle work pressures to successfully deliver releases. Experience of working across different business areas, demonstrating customer focus and good corporate awareness. Service Now experience extremely desirable. Involvement in design and implementation of policy, process and procedure. Demonstrable ability of being able to communicate across departments at all levels and with senior management, including directors. Design, build, and maintain testbed infrastructure, triage automated regression failures and provide failure analysis to certify software releases. Develop the test plans based on requirements & specifications and provide feedback from a testing perspective. Improve the test system and efficiency. Collaborate with the R&D team to troubleshoot and debug issues. Requirements Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronic engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of testing network products. Basic knowledge of Radius, VLAN technologies, 802.1x, Captive portal. Good understanding of networking architecture such as Routing/Switching (OSPF / BGP /IS-IS), IP, TCP/UDP, and application layers such as HTTP, SNMP, etc. Familiar with 802.11 wireless protocols. Strong ability to write quality code (automation test code) . Excellent communication skills and teamwork spirit, able to effectively collaborate with different teams. Additional Skills (Preferred): Experienced with Cloud performance testing is a plus. Experienced with L3 switch or Gateway test is a strong plus. Experience with a large-scale enterprise network deployment is a plus. SUMMARY: Provides technical support to the university community. Resolves moderately complex technical problems (tier 1 and some tier 2), and may provide functional direction to student employees, as needed. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide phone support in the Help Desk call center. Create workflow / call tickets for phone support, walk in traffic, and emails to the Help Desk. Support live chat communications. POSITION SUMMARY: This position shares the responsibility of maintaining the multimedia and audiovisual equipment installed in university classrooms and teaching spaces, meeting rooms, office locations, and public presentation venues. This includes preventative maintenance work as scheduled, maintenance of equipment (break/fix) and some installation work as required. This position will also be responsible for videotaping classes or events on campus as scheduled. Some overtime is required in this position, as well as the need to work alternate shifts when needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical service and support to classrooms and meeting spaces equipped with AV Media systems Answer phone calls from classroom spaces and provide remote assistance as possible Dispatch to classroom spaces to provide immediate onsite service as required Document service issues and problem resolutions in the service workflow system Accomplish preventative maintenance tasks as assigned, usually twice per year Installation of equipment as needed, Projectors, LCD panels, rack equipment such a, Switchers Some responsibilities associated with configuration of computers in order to project properly, both PC and Mac System Commissioning and Training/Instruction in the use of the MM and AV equipment Perform final testing and commissioning of newly installed systems, including the shared responsibility for developing training materials This position will be responsible for training faculty and staff members on the proper use of the systems installed in classrooms and meeting spaces; this includes projection systems, the use of AV control systems, video conferencing and/or Skype, and some lecture capture. Videographer services and general event support Videotaping services as requested, class lectures, seminars, events during the regular academic day, as well as after hours Timely processing of the video as required to provide the requested format/copies for the customer Set up / take down of equipment in support of events, including Board of Trustees meetings. QUALIFICATIONS: Thorough knowledge of the operation of multimedia and a/v system equipment, including: Projectors and/or LCD panels Room sound systems (Playback and Live Audio) Media playback AV Control systems (AMX and Crestron) Video Switching Good computer skills; configuration settings, extending displays to projector, etc. (Microsoft Windows and MacOS) Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, troubleshooting equipment failures Ability to perform under limited supervision.
