We are a local construction company looking for hard working and honest individuals. Experience is good but not a must. All we ask is for your willingness to learn and follow directions. ABOUT US We are a start up company looking for a highly skilled and dedicated superintendent to oversee the construction of a twelve thousand square foot facility for a cemetery/mortuary and funeral home business. The project also includes an access road, storm drains, retention pond, and a bridge crossing the Las Positas Arroyo. There are numerous complexities. These include an ongoing cemetery business requiring access with some challenges while the main access road is being constructed, as well as wetland mitigation requiring cautious and thoughtful handling of sensitive areas. You must have the ability to read and understand plans for both civil and structural engineering, and maintain clear communication and collaborate with cross functional teams, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, engineering inspectors, county inspectors, and employees. RESPONSIBILITIES - Oversee all day-to-day on-site operations, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and schedules. - Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to maintain project efficiency and quality. - Conduct daily reports, safety meetings, and maintain organized project documentation, including change orders and field notes. - Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met. - Maintain a clean, secure, and professional job site at all times. - Supervise and manage in-house crews as needed. - Lead site and inspection meetings, communicating effectively with building officials and internal teams. - Track deliveries, materials, and subcontractor performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues. - Ensure ongoing cemetery operations have continuous access during construction and maintain compliance with wetland mitigation and other environmental regulations. - Other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum 7 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in commercial construction. - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and sequencing. - Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple subcontractors simultaneously. - Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. - Calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure situations. - Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, or equivalent project management software. - Ability to read and interpret civil and structural plans accurately. - Reliable transportation to and from the job site. - General Contractor’s License preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities: Supervise on-site construction activities: manage crews, subcontractors, and laborers. Read, interpret, and enforce plans, specifications, blueprints, and compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Maintain project schedule & coordinate sequencing of trades so things proceed smoothly. Track progress, inspect work quality, ensure adherence to scope, and manage punchlists. Handle procurement, material deliveries, and coordination with vendors. Issue change orders, handle clarifications, and resolve field issues in real time.
