Part-Time Direct Care 1 Staff 📍 Centerboard Phoenix Rising Program 🕒 Part-Time | Overnight Shift Available About the Role: Are you passionate about creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment for youth? Join Centerboard’s Youth Services Campus as a Direct Care Staff member and play a critical role in helping young people heal, grow, and thrive. You'll be part of a trauma-informed, youth-centered team where your ability to build strong relationships, stay calm in crisis, and teach life-changing skills will directly impact the future of the youth we serve. What You’ll Do:Support Youth Daily: Supervise and assist youth with daily routines—from school and therapy to cooking, chores, and recreation. Teach & Model Life Skills: Help youth build healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation, and life-readiness tools. Create a Safe Environment: Maintain a structured, clean, and secure space that promotes accountability and growth. Respond to Crises with Compassion: Apply trauma-informed de-escalation techniques to support youth in difficult moments.Be an Advocate: Attend and document 1:1 meetings, team planning sessions, and case reviews. Stay Organized: Complete daily progress notes, incident reports, and shift documentation with accuracy and professionalism. Participate Fully: Support other youth programs when needed, attend trainings, assist with transportation, and help plan outings. Overnight Shifts Include:Conducting regular safety checks Cleaning and prepping the facility for the day ahead Providing morning wake-up and transportation support Remaining awake and alert throughout the entire shift What You Bring:High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s or college coursework a plus) Previous experience working with youth in a residential or behavioral setting Strong communication, organization, and crisis response skills Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Commitment to trauma-informed care, equity, and inclusion Willingness to transport youth in a personal vehicle if necessary Bonus Points If You Have:MAP Certification or willingness to be trained Knowledge of Individual Behavior Support Plans (IBSPs) Experience with documentation and state compliance procedures Why Join Us? What You’ll Do As a Small Business Developer, you’ll play a key role in strengthening worker cooperatives and advancing CFL’s initiatives. You’ll have the opportunity to: Business Development (30%) Organize and inspire community groups to develop cooperative businesses. Support domestic workers in establishing strong governance and management systems. Collaborate with organizational partners to amplify business development efforts. Provide tailored guidance and resources to help participants navigate their entrepreneurial journey. Innovate and refine CFL’s cooperative development tools and guides. Technical Assistance (30%) Deliver hands-on business management support tailored to each cooperative’s stage of growth. Coach worker-owners to build leadership and management skills. Design and lead engaging workshops to strengthen business governance and operations. Mediate and support resolution of conflicts within cooperative groups. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking candidates who are: * Bilingual and bicultural: Fluency in English and Spanish is required. * Skilled facilitators: Capable of leading workshops and group meetings with ease. * Project-savvy: Experienced in managing complex projects, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. * Educators at heart: Familiar with popular education methods for teaching business skills to adults. * Socially conscious: Committed to social justice and economic empowerment, particularly for low-income women.
