Environmental Works is a small, locally owned environmental services company. We are currently seeking a full-time Environmental Field Technician to join our Radon Mitigation Team. Overview: This is an entry level position with room for advancement and built-in continuing education! Your career with EWorks will begin with training to install radon mitigation systems for residential and commercial properties. Once you’ve mastered the art of installation, testing and estimating for the installation of radon mitigation systems is next. Experience not necessary; we will train the right candidate. Construction experience, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with power tools is a plus. The right candidate will be eager and excited to be trained and certified in the growing radon industry. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly and handle general construction tasks as well as have basic computer operation skills and strong familiarity in Microsoft Office products. Radon is a naturally occurring gas that can get trapped in buildings and can cause lung cancer over time. Your job? Get rid of it! Job Done Right is our Motto. Work Hard, Play Hard is our Culture. Requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, or related disciplines • Must be able to pass a background check • Must have valid driver’s license • Previous experience in construction/remodeling a plus • Ability to learn quickly; learn the construction practices • Ability to manage time well and to multitask • Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude • Good customer service and sales skills • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis • Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions • Strong attention to detail and OSHA safety protocols. • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. • Flexibility to work in various environmental conditions.
