SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Truck Driver, under the direction of the Associate Director of Operations, is responsible for warehouse product care including, receiving, storage, distribution, pickup and/or delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
⢠Drives food bank vehicles to make product pickup and/or deliveries to agencies and affiliate programs.
⢠Loads and unloads trucks at the food bank location and other outreach locations.
⢠Produces and maintains accurate documentation, including trip/mileage sheets, pre and post trip inspection forms and all DOT related documentation
⢠Maintains a clean driving record and up-to-date Driverâs License.
⢠Reads pick lists and other applicable documents to fill orders.
⢠Transports product from receiving area to storage or to other designated areas in the warehouse.
⢠Sorts and places product on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, and product code.
⢠Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated areas.
⢠Marks product with identifying information.
⢠Weighs or counts inward or outward product where/when needed.
⢠Provides excellent customer service to agencies, donors, and/or clients.
⢠Assists with moving or distributing inventory or vehicles as needed.
⢠Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility and accurate inventory.
⢠Safely operates all warehouse equipment.
⢠Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
⢠High school graduate or equivalent.
⢠Valid Class A California driverâs license and clean DMV record.
⢠Valid Forklift Operator certificate.
⢠Strong communication and customer service skills.
⢠Able and willing to accept supervision and direction.
⢠Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
⢠Must be able to be self-directed when necessary.
⢠Must possess good judgement and have excellent organizational and communication skills.
⢠Flexible, motivated, and resourceful.
⢠Knowledge of and ability to operate warehouse equipment including dolly, pump jack/hand truck, forklift and/or other material handling equipment.
⢠Experience with driving both automatic and standard transmission vehicles.
⢠Knowledge of warehouse operations.
⢠Ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds.
⢠Manages multiple priorities under potentially aggressive deadlines and manages time efficiently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, twist and turn body. This position is often performed in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment and requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. At times will need to tolerate drastic temperature changes from freezer to non-airconditioned warehouse. Must be able to tolerate noise from fork lift trucks. This position does require the ability to perform under stressful conditions and high-volume demands.
