Japanese auto shop looking for an A level master automotive tech who's very strong with Japanese vehicles My shop is always busy and we have lots of devoted clients Pay is based on skill and experience, 40 to 50+ per hour or flat rate hour to start is not out of the question for the right person Tech owned shop, attention to detail is a must. Fix it like it's your moms car I get the best quality parts available to do the job right the first time Alldata, Identifix, Mitchell on demand and 2 Snap On scanners are used in the shop All of the right equipment, 7 lifts and specialty tools and an alignment rack. No tire machine so no busting tires Fun place to work and starting at 9am is nice for the commute, lunch provided every Friday Located close in SE Portland •Requirements: • 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience • Strong diagnostic and leadership skills (Most Important) • Ability to communicate clearly with service advisors, team members, and customers • Positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction Duties Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles, focusing primarily on Japanese models. Utilize power tools and equipment effectively to perform repairs and maintenance tasks. Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with service advisors regarding the vehicle needs and repair options. Conduct routine maintenance checks and services to ensure vehicles are operating efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with other service technicians to resolve complex vehicle issues as needed. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Certification from an accredited automotive program is a plus but not required. Position Title: Senior Mason Division: Design Build Division Reports To: Project Manager and Division Manager Employment Type: Full-time, Year-round, Hourly Position Summary The Senior Mason at MainStay Landscape is a highly skilled craftsperson responsible for leading and executing complex masonry projects with precision, efficiency, and artistry. This role involves working on a range of hardscape installations including stone walls, patios, walkways, steps, veneers, and other custom masonry features. The Senior Mason plays a key role in ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of quality while mentoring less experienced team members in proper masonry techniques. The Senior Mason works closely with the Project Manager and Division Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with MainStay’s reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities Masonry Expertise & Execution • Perform advanced masonry work including layout, cutting, fitting, and setting stone, brick, block, and veneer. • Lead the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, and other custom stone features. • Operate masonry tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including saws, mixers, grinders, and compactors. • Ensure proper site preparation, grading, and drainage for all masonry projects. Project Leadership • Work under the direction of the Project Manager and Division Manager to complete project tasks according to specifications. • Provide on-site leadership and training for junior masons, installers, and laborers. • Assist in project planning, including material take-offs, tool preparation, and site setup. • Monitor progress to ensure projects are completed with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail. Quality Control & Safety • Uphold MainStay’s quality standards for all masonry work. • Ensure proper mixing of mortars, adhesives, and jointing compounds. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site. • Follow all company and industry safety protocols. Qualifications & Skills • 5+ years of proven experience in masonry, stonework, and hardscape installation. • Mastery of masonry techniques including dry stone, mortared stone, veneer, and brick/block laying. • Strong knowledge of construction methods, grading, and drainage. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and site plans. • Experience leading crews and mentoring less experienced workers. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to operate masonry and construction equipment. • Hoisting License preferred. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
