Essel is looking to hire a skilled laborer / trim carpenter in Tacoma. This would be a night shift doing commercial renovation for 2 weeks. * We would then have another role in Silverdale upon completion of the Tacoma job. SUBCONTRACTOR/DOOR INSTALLER - $100k+ PER YEAR OPPORTUNITY We need subcontractors now! Our subcontractors typically average between $75k-$100k annually. We are the largest millwork installation company in the U.S. and have a proven track record of stability and year over year growth. Requirements: Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation. Minimum of 5 years' experience installing doors and/or trim carpentry is preferred. Commercial General Liability insurance (minimum $1M policy). Vehicle, trailer, or some way to transport products to job sites. Commercial Auto insurance policy (minimum $300K policy). EPA RRP Certified Firm and EPA RRP Certified Renovator (Lead Safe Work Practices Training). We can assist in obtaining certification if necessary. Access to a smart phone and/or tablet (a plus), as well as a computer with an internet connection. Contractor Licensing (State, County and City) required where applicable. We specialize in luxury, high-end cabinetry, and are seeking someone who takes pride in their work. Responsibilities include: - Operating woodworking equipment: table saws, planers, miter saws, shapers, orbital sanders - Reading and using tape measures accurately - Ripping lumber, building cabinet boxes, doors, and drawers - Assisting in shop production and assembly - Helping with the delivery of cabinets to client homes - Assisting in the removal/demo of existing cabinetry or spaces before installation What we’re looking for: - Positive attitude and willingness to learn - Strong attention to detail - Experience with woodworking tools preferred (but we will train the right candidate) - Reliability and teamwork mindset - Compensation: $20–$30/hour depending on experience Finishing / Painting / Sanding - Looking for a Finishing Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on sanding, staining, painting, and finishing our luxury cabinetry with precision and detail. Responsibilities include: - Sanding wood and cabinetry components with orbital sanders - Staining, painting, and finishing cabinetry pieces - Filling nail holes and prepping surfaces for finishing - Applying primer and, with training, spraying top coats - On-site finishing work, including painting, drywall, and trim, caulking, and touch-ups - Minor woodworking tasks depending on shop flow and project needs What we’re looking for: - Strong attention to detail - Ability to follow instructions and see tasks through to completion - Experience in woodworking/finishing preferred (but not required) - Reliability and pride in craftsmanship Compensation: $20–$30/hour depending on experience
