Guardian has an immediate need for a Maintenance Assistant to join our experienced and committed team at Discovery Point! Discovery Point is a conventional apartment community in Mesa, AZ with 183 units. We are seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Maintenance Assistant to support in the required cleaning and minor property maintenance necessary to maintain curb appeal and the overall appearance and quality of the property. A Maintenance Assistant’s primary role is to assist and support in the required cleaning and minor property maintenance necessary to maintain curb appeal and the overall appearance and quality of the property/ies listed above. This will include processing work orders as assigned by the Community Manager/s and/or Maintenance Lead/Supervisor/s which may include routine maintenance of property/ies and apartment units. This position is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance work is done in compliance with OSHA regulations and Guardian policies and procedures. Responsibilities · Must be able to read and follow the paperwork, include order forms, job specifications, cut sheets, and edge details. · Find and drive to job location · Properly fit the countertop into place, may need to trim the piece to fit properly · Make any final cutouts or holes to paperwork specifications · Properly secure and support the countertop · Cleanup job site · Receive final payment from customer when needed · Get customer to sign off on homeowner checklist · Must be able to take proper measurements and understand those measurements, read a tape measure, and perform simple math · Proper communication with management to eliminate the mistakes · Must be able to lift over 100 lbs · Always wear the proper attire for shop work, including steel toe boots · Ensure safety standards are being met, including wearing provided PPE · Work with the management to keep the file organized and updated · Any other tasks required by management This is a 1099 position, pay is based on Square footage.
