General laborer for construction work wanted. Applicant should have construction job site experience. Experience operating machines preferred. Work will be in the field of excavation and heavy construction for pipelines. All work will be performed outdoors, will generally be physical. Job tasks will included traffic control, hand digging, use of power tools, excavation, concrete work. Job site locations vary throughout San Francisco, Peninsula, and the Bay Area. We are looking for someone to repair high tech refrigeration systems and or PLC based control systems. Knowledge of semiconductor industry a plus. General qualities we expect from applicants: • Ability to use basic hand and power tool; ability to use electronic test equipment • Demonstrated ability to represent the company in a dependable and professional manner • Must have, or be able to obtain EPA Universal certification within 3 months if you have the qualifying electrical background. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS. • Strong attention to detail • Highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as in a small group setting. • Ability to perform mathematical calculations • Troubleshoot electronic systems and perform repairs • Basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators. • Knowledge of refrigeration systems, coolant systems, refrigeration recovery, vacuum systems, copper braising, plumbing, and HVAC technology. • Knowledge of PLC based control systems in instrumentation. • Be able to hold a security clearance if necessary. • Clean Driving Record. Duties and Responsibilities • Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping in all department areas of the main building. • Dispose of trash from bins and containers. • Gather and dispose of cardboard. • Scrub sinks and toilets in bathrooms. • Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors. • Maintain and upkeep all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products. • Ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of cleaning products. • Keep all public spaces neat and tidy. • Report repairs or replacements needed during the job. • Comply with company safety procedures and promote a safety-first culture. Skills & Qualifications • Ability to follow verbal directions. • Self-motivated and capable of working independently. • Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to job responsibilities. • Flexible with schedules and routines; strong time management skills. • Detail-oriented in cleaning tasks. • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk throughout the day, with the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. • General knowledge of cleaning products, supplies, and techniques. • Comfortable working in a positive, diverse environment. • Willing to work weekends and/or occasional holidays. Experienced in aerial construction work for communications, clean driving record class A CDL preferred but not required. Monday - Friday 8 hour days with possibility of overtime. Minimum starting wage is $20 hr but pay is negotiable based on experience.
