Project Summary: The east side of building 100 has existing rail system that needs to be replaced or reattached to the roof with a more secure system to prevent maintenance staff from falling. Findings: Rooftop Units on the roof above the purchasing offices require service maintenance at flat roof area located within 10 feet of the roof edge and have a permanent rail guard system but that system is not properly supported, loose and could fall to the ground below. (IBC 2024, 1015.6 IMC, 2024, 304.11) Recommendation: Guard rail needs to be reattached to the roof structure below and will to be able to resist a load of 50 pounds per linear foot applied in any direction at the top and to transfer this load through the supports to the portable base support pads. The guard rail system will also be designed to resist a 200-pound concentrated load applied in any direction at the top. Reattach the guard railing to the roof structure. Expect approximately 20 SF of roof repairs at the areas where the guard railing attaches to the roof. Properly seal all penetrations from the railing to the roof structure. The anticipated schedule is as follows (subject to change upon production start): • 1 Four to eight (4–8) hours day per week, likely on Thursday or Friday for fulfillment, with additional ad-hoc support for events every 2–3 months (1–3 full eight (8) hour day). • Additional: 1–3 hours per week for online meetings or ad-hoc support. Employees will receive meal and rest breaks in accordance with California Labor Code Sections 226.7 and 512, and overtime pay for hours worked over 8 in a day or 40 in a week, per California Labor Code Section 510. Key Responsibilities: • Fulfill orders by assembling cooler boxes or insulated packaging and packing soup products for safe, temperature-compliant transport. • Communicate with internal team and clients to ensure delivery environments meet cold-chain handling requirements. • Manage inventory of all fulfillment/delivery related items including boxes, tape, ice packs, dry ice, insulated bags, etc. • For local deliveries along commute routes, use a personal vehicle to deliver customer orders across Orange County and Los Angeles County, with mileage reimbursement provided per California Labor Code Section 2802. • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maintain product quality and minimize delivery time. • Assist the Project Manager (located in Japan) with operational tasks related to fulfillment logistics. • Collaborate with internal team and external partners to ensure compliance with food safety and business regulations. • Provide ad-hoc support for events, photo shoots, PR activities, etc., approximately every 2–3 months (1–3 full eight (8) hour days). • As with any start-up venture, other duties may be assigned as each employee may need to help in other areas that are not explicitly mentioned above.
