What You’ll Do: - Lead & Mentor: Supervise and train a dedicated team of maintenance technicians to keep our hotel in top shape. - Collaborate & Solve: Oversee daily maintenance, repairs, and inspections of essential systems—HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety equipment—to ensure seamless operations. - Drive Excellence: Take charge of the proactive preventative maintenance program to delight our guests and protects our assets. - Partnerships: Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and inspectors to uphold the highest quality and safety standards. - Manage: Keep track of departmental expenses and oversee vendor agreements. - Roll Up Your Sleeves: Troubleshoot issues, resolve malfunctions, and jump in and work side by side with your team to get the job done right. What We’re Looking For: - Prior hotel engineering experience or related field preferred. - A leader who leads by example, communicates clearly, and builds trust within your team. - Knowledge of fire protection, life safety systems, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm—and effective—under pressure. - 3+ years in a maintenance role, with a desire to take on greater responsibility. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications. - Flexibility to work rotating schedules, including weekends and holidays. ABOUT THE ROLE: The Field Technician reports to the Jersey Shore Laboratory in Waretown, New Jersey. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license as well as a clean driving record to drive to and from sampling locations using a company vehicle. The starting rate of pay is $17.00 per hour for a full-time, 30-hour workweek, Monday through Friday. WHAT YOU'LL DO: The primary responsibility of the Field Technician is the performance of water tests and sample collections at assigned locations. Testing and sample collection may include municipal wells, city water, private homes, public locations, sewer and water plants, wastewater, and pools. Employees may also set up sample composite machines for next-day sample pickup. Employees are trained in proper and compliant collection techniques as well as transport protocols to a certified laboratory. QUALIFICATIONS: No prior experience is required, but interested candidates should have experience in roles that require detailed procedures, good communication skills with clients, outdoor work, as well as meeting daily deadlines.
