Cafe Service Staff (Jacksonville) Blind Monkey Catering Inc. 📍 Located inside the Duval County Courthouse, 501 W Adams St, Jacksonville, FL 32202 📍 and at the USMC Support Facility – Blount Island, Jacksonville, FL compensation: $15–$18/hour (plus tips averaging $1–$3/hour) employment type: part-time (approx. 25–35 hours per week) experience level: willing to train job title: Café Service Employee About the Position Blind Monkey Catering Inc. is hiring friendly, dependable, and motivated Café Service Staff to join our team at either the Duval County Courthouse Café or the USMC Support Facility on Blount Island. You’ll be part of a hands-on team responsible for all aspects of daily café operations, including food preparation, cashier duties, and vending machine maintenance. Each snack bar features a hot box for breakfast and lunch sandwiches and prepares one daily lunch special. We also manage approximately seven vending machines in each building where the snack bars are located. We’re looking for team members who take pride in their work, enjoy interacting with customers, and bring a positive, can-do attitude each day. Responsibilities Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch items Handle cashier duties and manage customer transactions Maintain and restock vending machines as needed Ensure cleanliness and organization of the café and equipment Track inventory levels to ensure adequate supply Assist with opening and/or closing duties Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues professionally Requirements Ability to pass an FBI background check (required for courthouse or base access) Reliable personal vehicle for transportation on and off the base Strong multitasking and organizational skills Previous experience in food service or customer service is a plus, but not required — we are willing to train ServeSafe certification is a plus, but not required Hours Monday to Friday, approximately 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (depending on location) Average 25–35 hours per week Weekends and holidays off Compensation 💵 $15–$18 per hour (based on experience) 💰 Additional tips averaging $1–$3 per hour How to Apply Interested candidates can schedule a phone interview.
