We currently have an opening for a full-time Buyer/ Back-up Receptionist Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience purchasing components in one or more of the following industries: contract manufacturing, sheet metal, machining or cable and harness manufacturing. Responsibilities Include: *Performs and coordinates activities related to the timely procurement and delivery of materials. *Researching new suppliers and negotiating best price for delivery and quality. *Creation and execution of purchase orders. *Resolve problems including quantity, pricing and delivery errors. *Manage manufacturing related material shortages and at-risk (long lead time parts). *Maintain supplier relationships. *Assist with analyzing data and creation of spreadsheets and charts *Perform special projects as requested. Must be able to communicate with vendors, customers, sales personnel, shipping and receiving and the accounting department to resolve order and shipment issues, complete projects in a timely manner and be comfortable in a fast paced environment. Applicant needs strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Must have experience with MS Word, Excel and MRP databases.
