The position works under the supervision of the Service Manager, repairing heavy duty trucks, trailers, and cargo tanks of all makes and models. JOB DESCRIPTION Under general supervision, performs bumper to bumper repairs on heavy duty diesel trucks and trailers. Diagnostic trouble shooting and repairs including but not limited to cooling system, electronics, air systems, engine, transmission, clutch, steering, brake and wheel, hydraulic systems, seals, differentials, etc. Must have a thorough knowledge of heavy duty diesel mechanics and diagnostics. Must document all time, materials, and work performed on repair orders. Ability to train and teach junior mechanics. Must be able to make repair recommendations, take direction when needed, and have a positive work behavior. QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum of 4 years of progressive diesel mechanic experience and training combined. • Knowledge and practice of industry safety standards • Has advanced knowledge of all mechanical and electronic systems concerning Diesel powered engines • Knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic air tools as well as current knowledge of computer trouble shooting software • CDL Class A endorsement is a plus. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), ASE certification is a plus but not required • Ability to read and interpret documents such as repair and troubleshooting manuals, wiring diagrams, etc. • Computer literacy with knowledge in Microsoft office, Internet explorer, and Windows based software • Strong verbal and written communication skills (bi-lingual Eng/SP is a plus) • Ability to push, pull, carry, lift up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 100 • Must have your own tools To apply: reply to this email with your resume in PDF format to or fax your resume to 707-431-2960
