Lead finish carpenter position available for a licensed residential home builder in the South Bay of LA. We specialize in residential construction, extensive remodels, kitchens and baths, and all things carpentry related. Most of the work we do is on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and the Beach Cities. We are a low stress, high performing team who people trust with their most valuable possession, their home. This position will be required to operate in a leadership (foreman) capacity with other employees. Ability to read plans, drive and encourage safe operations with subs and employees, train and grow fellow coworkers, and meet quality expectations in an appropriate timeframe will be the expectations of this role. Position available: Lead Finish Carpenter Experienced Lead position starting pay range $30-$45 per hour based on experience Job Requirements and expectations: Minimum 5 years field experience in relevant carpentry trade working under experienced contractors. Candidates must have appropriate personal tools for the communicated skill level. Exterior door and window installation. Interior door installation including pre hung and slab installation. Cabinet installation and millwork installation experience. Siding experience and knowledge. Construction framing knowledge. Decking installation. Reliable transportation. Valid Driver's License. Fluent in English. Authorized to work in the USA. Ability to lift 60 lbs. Ability to work overhead. Ability to stand for 8 hours a day. Available for 40 Hours onsite work per week. Preferred Skills: Flooring installation. Minor drywall patch and repair. Appliance installation. Tile installation experience. Minor electrical. Fluent in Spanish.
