Part-Time Mother’s Helper/Household Assistant Infant, Light Housework (oakland north / temescal)

Location: Temescal Oakland, CA Hours: 6–8 hours per week, mornings (flexible on specific days) We’re a friendly couple in Oakland with a 3 month old and looking for a reliable, kind, and proactive helper to support us in the mornings during the week. The role is a mix of light childcare and general household tidying—perfect for someone who enjoys caring for an infant and keeping a home feeling peaceful and orderly. What You’ll Be Helping With: Childcare (approx. 50%) Holding, soothing, or playing with the baby while we shower, work, or catch our breath Occasional bottle feeding or helping during nap transitions Household Tasks (approx. 50%) Washing and putting away dishes, cleaning bottles Folding laundry Light sweeping or vacuuming General tidying of common areas Occasional easy meal prep or grocery unpacking We’re Looking For Someone Who: Has experience with infants (nannying, babysitting, or personal) Is gentle, calm, and comfortable around newborns Is organized and enjoys keeping things tidy Is dependable and communicative Bonus if you’re CPR certified or speak a second language (not required) This is a great role for a part-time caregiver, student, or someone looking for extra hours in a relaxed and respectful environment. We are flexible on start date and schedule and happy to work with the right person to find a rhythm that works for all of us.
