Now Hiring: Part-time Compassionate Caregiver & Companion One-on-One In-Home Care in South Minneapolis We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a 40+ year-old male with medical, physical, and intellectual challenges. The position is located in a private home in the Kenny neighborhood of Minneapolis. The client is severely compromised in mobility and communication and requires hands-on assistance with all activities of daily living, including bathroom care, changing briefs, transfers, dressing, medications and feeding. Despite these challenges, he enjoys engaging with the world, attending appointments, and participating in social and recreational outings throughout the Twin Cities. A wheelchair-accessible van is provided for all community activities, and the employer covers the caregiver’s admission to events such as movies, Lynx games, and other outings. While at home, you’ll be expected to engage with the client in conversation, watching movies, etc. Some light housekeeping is expected when client is resting. Hours & Pay: We are looking for someone to work ~ 16 – 24 hours each week, during shifts that fall between ~ 8am – 10pm. (Shifts can be anywhere from 6 – 12 hours, depending on your availability.) There is some flexibility in the days and hours; however, preference will be given to those willing to work some weekend hours. Starting pay is upper $20’s per hour. We are not an agency. Work Environment: You’ll be joining a kind and supportive household where caregivers are deeply valued — several staff members have been with the client for years. It’s a pleasant, stable environment, and healthy meals are provided during your shifts.
