




Accurately and efficiently pop high-volume popcorn, tasting each batch to ensure our quality standards are met. Additionally, you will help stock the kitchen and bag finished popcorn for delivery when needed. We are a VERY small team. We show up, work hard, have a good time and go home. Only apply if you are available for Monday, Saturday and Sunday shifts 9.30am-6pm. These are the core hours of the shift every week. There are more hours available outside of these core hours. Job pays $20.76/hour for retail and production. Tips and Sales Bonuses available to all, which works out to be $45 -55 p/h on average. Start ASAP Location Pike Place Market Responsibilities: Prepare Large volumes of Gourmet Popcorn following simple recipes Assumes responsibility for quality of products served. Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products from suppliers to keep kitchen running smoothly (must have a vehicle and be able to lift 50 lbs). Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, poppers, carmelizers and refrigeration equipment. Handles, stores and rotates all products properly. Assists in bagging, packaging and shipping products during off-peak times Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty. Qualifications: At least 6 months experience in kitchen preparation and cooking (preferred). Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel Must have a vehicle and be able to pick up product for kitchen Must be self-directed and have a problem-solving attitude Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours). Must be able to follow printed recipes Must maintain personal hygiene in accordance with state Health Department standards for Food Service Employees.
