We’re looking for a responsible and motivated individual to join our Produce Team at our Atwater location. As a Produce Team Member, you’ll help with farmers market pick-ups twice a week and play a key role in keeping our produce fresh, high-quality, and well-stocked. This includes assisting with purchasing, inventory, and daily operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about local, seasonal produce. Key Responsibilities: - Visit farmers markets twice a week to pick up and organize orders, ensuring accurate delivery to both store locations. - Coordinate with both locations on product availability, seasonal changes, packing methods, and best practices. - Pack, label, and stock produce efficiently and with attention to detail. - Work closely with the Produce Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and consistent quality across both stores. Qualifications: - Prior experience in produce handling, grocery retail, or food purchasing is preferred - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Comfortable handling money and managing receipts/invoices - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Able to lift 30–50 lbs - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation - Passion for local agriculture, sustainability, and food systems is a plus Schedule: 40 hours Must be available for early morning market visits (typically 1–2 days/week) Flexibility to travel between store locations as needed Weekend availability required Benefits: Employee discount Health Insurance plans available Opportunities for growth within the company Direct connection to local farmers and food producers
