Responsibilities: - Welcome and register guests promptly and accurately, ensuring a smooth check-in/check-out process. - Provide guests with information about the hotel, local attractions, and amenities. - Obtain identification and credit/check approval per hotel policy, verifying rates and departure dates. - Confirm and update guest information in the Reservations/PMS system, following proper hotel procedures. - Answer guest inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction. - Authorize revenue allowances as per hotel policy. - Communicate effectively with other departments to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction. - Stay knowledgeable about hotel history, services, facilities, rates, and packages. - Post charges to individual room accounts or master accounts as necessary. - Manage cash and credit transactions, maintain a personal bank, and process guest payments, including third-party and advance purchase reservations. - Review the Front Desk log at the start of your shift and record important information throughout your shift. - Assist with special projects and provide support to other team members as needed. - Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, contributing to a supportive and goal-oriented team environment. Requirements: - Strong communication and problem-solving skills. - Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately. - Knowledge of reservation and property management systems (PMS) preferred. - Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. - A proactive attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional guest service. - Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
