Participants needed for a Research Study on Sleep and Circadian Rhythms Does your high schooler have a hard time falling asleep before 1 a.m. and waking up early in the morning/for school? Do you have trouble falling asleep before 1 a.m.? We are looking for males and females, ages 16-30 to participate in a study at the Sleep and Chronobiology Lab at the University of Colorado Boulder. The purpose of the study is to understand mechanisms of Delayed Sleep Wake Phase Disorder (DSWPD). This study will improve our understanding of circadian rhythms in humans and may help us to create treatments and strategies for DSWPD. The purpose of this study is to examine how light exposure and meal timing influences circadian rhythms in healthy people. We are looking for healthy men and women, ages 17-40 to participate in a study at the University of Colorado-Boulder Sleep and Chronobiology Laboratory. The study is 7 weeks long with 8 in-person visits. Participants live in the sleep laboratory on two separate occasions for 7.7 days (15.4 days total). Main procedures involved: Health screening Monitor on two separate occasions your sleep for 2 weeks and blood sugar levels for 3 days at home Live in the sleep laboratory on two separate occasions for 7.7 days (15.4 days total): Blood and saliva sampling Reaction time and ability to think testing Bright light exposure and earlier meal timing Compensation is up to $4,093. Develop testable, performant, and scalable RTL using SpinalHDL. Support hands on tuning and troubleshooting in laboratory and test bench environments Architect processing chains with supporting analytical models to ensure that critical design requirements are met. Embrace best modern software engineering practices to ensure robustness and maintainability and facilitate collaboration. This includes leveraging revision control, CI pipelines, static analysis tools, and automated build pipelines. Participate in design, code, and data reviews. Requirements REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field and a minimum of 8 years prior work experience. Expertise in working with industry standard hardware descriptive languages (Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL) Comfortable working in a Linux development environment and working with standard scripting languages (Python, bash) Good verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively share information with technical and non-technical staff Good collaboration skills, able to work in a team environment where engagement and participation are an expected part of successful job performance Skilled in typical software engineering disciplines: testing, revision control (git), error-handling, readability, documentation, general code health, etc. Desire to constantly improve and learn inside and outside of expertise PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Expertise working with AMD Xilinx programmable logic devices (especially Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC).
