The King Room is available. The King Room has a Huge California Mahagony Four Poster Bed. It has a matching large bureau and large mirror. There is a bedside shelf with a lamp and hardwood floors. All utilities included. This includes water, heat, A/C, wifi, garbage (recycling and composting obligatory), and electricity. No cleaning fee. We are at our animal max. This is a chill home in a quiet neighborhood. Not for fuddy-duddies, but not for major partiers either. I specialize in relocators looking for temporary housing while they are making a move to Portland. There is a rental history check. This is a small house and noise carries. Meetings and phone calls for work are too bothersome for the tranquil vibe we are trying to maintain here. I have a big, overgrown forest in my backyard, and a restaurant kind of lifestyle. I am politically liberal. All people living here are politically liberal. Lots of shade to hang out in the front yard in the spring and summer. In April/May the front yard "snows" with pink flower petals from Cherry Blossom and Dogwood Trees. All rooms have keyed locks. I previously rented out rooms via Airbnb for four years, quite successfully. I grew tired of 24/7 customer service. So, I just rent directly. I have around 200 reviews on the Airbnb site. I have earned my "creds". Hundreds of people have come through my humble little home. There is a $300 Security Deposit. There is no cleaning fee, but please don't leave your room dirty for me to clean when you move on. I do require a face-to-face interview to discuss all matters and to see if we are a fit for shared housing. Strong, healthy, honest communication is necessary to live in this home. Respectful communication is the only way that problems can be dealt with. I try to avoid problems before they happen, of course. But, this is not a perfect world and everyone has different ideas, so stuff does come up. I need honest, kind, strong communicators here only, please. If you are looking to relocate and want to rent for a month or two, or more, this could be the right place for you. It has been for many people. Other people have stayed here for months, or years, or even lived here 3 times. PLEASE HAVE YOUR RENTAL REFERENCES FROM YOUR LAST TWO PLACES OF RENTING PREPARED TO SHOW ME. I will need contact info on at least the two most recent rentals / legit rentals/ not friends and family. There are three major bus lines within about five city blocks of the home. There are two major food stores within a few blocks. I have a nice wood stove in the "heart" of the home. There is a laundromat in the neighborhood and another one close by in the Woodstock area. The small kitchen is, of course, available to all; it is painted in the colors of a tropical fruit salad, but in the process of being repainted. I added a stainless steel fridge and stove. I am adding a new stove filter soon. Please understand that any old home is a repair project in process. The kitchen is required to be left clean always for the next prospective user. I am recently put in a new kitchen floor. I am prepping to complete the baseboard in the kitchen. So, some ongoing construction must be expected. I am not a neat-freak; I have two animals, but, I do have kitchen and bathroom sanitation rules for the best of all living here. I just installed a new A/C and heating system. This is a 1953 home. All things in homes, unfortunately, must be rebuilt and replaced. So please do expect that there will be ongoing upgrades and maintenance necessary from time to time. "The joys of home ownership.".
