Firstly, No cashiers checks or money orders from people in other cities and states. A lot of people do scams that way. Only verifiable payment methods accepted. Though I do prefer someone I can actually meet. I am willing to consider someone from out of state. But a social media profile is a must. All that aside. Hi, my name is Sam. I have a spacious room for rent in the middle of Hollywood. Close to any amenities you could possibly need. We are close to the Redline Station also. We just got new hard floors laid, we also just got a new paint job done and the office is making other upgrades as time goes by. The apartment is a 2 bedroom and one bathroom. The kitchen and bathroom are shared living areas. The room comes with a shelf, connected to the wall. It also has a closet and windows with drapes. The Rent is $955 a month currently, (but the rent is about to go up, which happens every year. It will be probably around 5%) plus a deposit in the same amount upon move in and returned when departing upon a 30 day notice and no damage done to the apartment. Any damage done, the responsibility to fix it lands on the tenant who did said damage or will be taken out of deposit. There are monthly bills that include The Gas Company and Spectrum Internet. The Department of Water and Power bill is due Bi-monthly, split 3 ways. Between myself, my other Roommate Amber who lives in the living room and the person who takes the bedroom. My current roommate Zared is getting kicked out, his stuff is still in there currently. The photos are pretty much what the place looks like when nothing is in there. Violence, rent tardiness or damage to the apartment is unacceptable. Shared living area chores are cyclical, between us every other week. I’m looking for a laid back and responsible individual who is mindful about being loud. A person that has a job. Someone who is not a heavy drinker, a hard drug user, a thief or a criminal, violent or mentally unstable individual. 420 is okay, but done outside, unless it’s a vape pen. This person should be experienced, living with other people and knows how to find middle ground with those people. A person who knows how to communicate effectively, assertively & consistently in situations. About myself and Amber. I myself, have lived here for 10 years. I consider this apt. my home. I’m a young guy. I have a small business selling things on websites. I am Studying art in college at LACC and I do tattoos at a tattoo shop in Venice. My roommate Amber is a professional who works with UPS Corporate & works a lot. She is disabled with MS. So I just wanted to say that for transparency. She can’t walk and uses a scooter. Also, on a side note, I have a Cat, which stays in my room, for the most part. She is friendly, if not scared of other people. So stays in her comfort zones. So if you are allergic to cats and can not deal with a pet in a separate room, this might not be the place for you. I want to find someone who plans to stay long term preferably. Trust is a major factor. If I can’t trust you, then I can’t live with you. Plain & Simple. If you’re honest, trustworthy, consistent, punctual about rent/bill payments & respectful of my boundaries, we should never have any issues. I will promise to be all the things I request of a roommate, myself as well. If you are interested, texting is most preferable & best way to receive fast response from me. But calling is okay too. Emails may get lost. I will be asking for a social media profile of some kind to verify & do some research, before inviting a person to my home. I’ll be showing the place off in the next week or so.
