$750 Basement Room with Friendly Housemates (Williams/Mississippi)

Hello, Portland! We're looking for someone bored of the doldrums of living alone and likes the idea of living in a safe space with friendly people for reliable community. The room is 16 feet by 12 feet. It's a basement room, so it doesn't get "great light" or anything like that. But the house is 3500 sq ft with three full bathrooms, and there's a home gym and homemade movie theater that we all share. Laundry on site, car parking on street, bike parking in basement, Walk Score 90, Transit Score 53, Bike Score 100! The house is on the Vancouver/Williams corridor, near the Mississippi neighborhood. Rent is $750 per month. Move-In is First, Last, plus security deposit. Utilities are shared equally and vary by season and use. We have a monthly cleaning/chores system - but daily cleanliness is extremely, very, super important to us. Personal items (including dirty dishes) may not reside in communal spaces! I rent two rooms to long-term renters, but my leases are month-to-month. One of my rooms is furnished for mid-term renters, like traveling nurses or medical students who are here for between 6 weeks and 6 months. To maintain harmony, there can only be 4 people living here. I've been renting rooms in my house for 11 years. I've had multiple housemates with me for 6+ years and multiple housemates with me for only a few months. Living with different people enriches my own experience and I hope to find someone who wants to live in a community for the same reason. Personality compatibility is paramount. The household is currently me plus two, in our 30s/40s. We're past our partying days, but still have fun within more responsible and respectful parameters. To that end, my personal brief story is that I grew up locally, went to PSU for environmental science, served in the Peace Corps twice, and work a full-time job outside of the house. Alicia is from rural Oregon, into anime, went to OSU for biology, and works full time from home. Ashley is new to Portland, into nature and cooking, MA in public administration and primarily works from home. There are also two cats who are still figuring out their friendship.
