The house is about 0.5 mile from either Porter or Davis Square red line stops, 0.3 mile from the Magoun Square green line stop, and adjacent to the Somerville community/bike path which runs to Davis Square, Cambridge, Arlington, and Lexington, and in the opposite direction to Boston. The nearest shopping center is in Porter Square, which has a Star Market (supermarket) and other essential stores (CVS pharmacy, Target hardware store) as well as restaurants.
