ShareTitle: 🚛 Safety Manager – Trucking & Logistics (SW Suburbs of Chicago – In Office) Description: We are a growing trucking and logistics company with multiple active carrier MCs and a brokerage operation. Our fleet runs across the Midwest and Southeast. We are seeking a Safety Manager to lead compliance, driver safety, and operational oversight. Responsibilities: Manage FMCSA, DOT, IFTA, IRP, and Clearinghouse compliance Conduct driver qualification file audits Oversee ELD compliance and Hours of Service monitoring Develop and enforce company safety policies and corrective action plans Coordinate driver onboarding, drug/alcohol testing, and background checks Handle accident reporting, claims, and root cause analysis Conduct safety training (orientation + ongoing) Serve as point of contact for DOT audits, inspections, and CSA scores Actively communicate with management and provide proactive updates Qualifications: 3+ years experience in trucking safety/compliance Strong knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations Familiar with ELD systems (Alfa ELD a plus) Highly organized, independent, and a go-getter Top-notch communication skills – must keep management fully informed Bilingual (English/Spanish or Ukranian/Russian/Polish) a plus Benefits: Competitive salary + performance bonuses Growth opportunities within an expanding company Supportive, team-focused environment Paid time off & holidays 📞 Call or Text: 708-729-2900/708-262-1425
