This is a flexible position that can be AM, PM, AM and PM, emergency / on-call, extra-curricular trips, and / or summer school. The morning route is approximately 6:30 AM – 8:15 AM and the afternoon route is approximately 3:00 PM – 4:45 PM. Extra-curricular vary from local to interstate, a few hours to a full day, early morning to late evening, and can be for school field trips or sporting events. The 25/26 school year began in early September ‘25 and goes through the first week of June ‘26, with the possibility of a summer school route immediately after. Current openings include: *AM and PM route *AM route only *Friday AM and PM route *On-call / emergency driver *Extra-Curricular and sports trip driver Join our team today and experience many great benefits, like: *Paid weekly (Fridays) *Flexible scheduling to accommodate your current work schedule and or home life *Set schedule / working hours (route) that do not change *Get paid (base to base) to attend sporting events and or field trips *Opportunity to bring your kid(s) with you (based on spacing availability) *Edward Jones SIMPLE IRA plan with 3% employer match (optional to enroll) *Keep the bus at our place or yours (if desired, and as applicable) *Same schedule as students with the summer months off *No nights, weekends, or holidays *Owned by a mechanical shop so regular maintenance and repairs *Competitive wages: $23.00 - $28.00+ per hour, depending on route, trip, and experience *All route buses are 6 yrs or newer (12-yr replacement schedule) *Paid training, licensing, and certification in applicable fields *Three generations strong *Evolving and innovative: 200% growth in last months, largest fleet and newest buses in the district, direct deposit (by end of year), and indoor storage (tentative plans for summer of ’26) Interested candidates MUST: *Possess or have the ability to obtain a CDL license *Have a clean driving record and be approved by our insurance company. *Have the ability to pass an initial and yearly background check per the school district and our company’s policies. *Pass an initial and periodic drug and alcohol tests as required per state and local laws and regulations. *Have or be willing to obtain CPR certification. *Possess or be able to acquire a MedCard. *Be reliable, dependable, and punctual; and *Be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and co-workers. A school bus driver career is perfect for the part-time homemaker, as a supplement to current income, or as a transition into retirement. Some career fields that work well in collaboration with a school bus driver include: factory and manufacturing; farming; truck drivers; construction workers and other summer workers; blue collar careers (mechanic, electrician, plumber, heating & cooling, welder, etc); cooks, chefs, baristas, waiters / waitresses; office employees; hospice staff; bankers; delivery and or route drivers; 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shift workers; business owners; coaches; veterans; and college students.
