Production Lead (2nd Shift)

POSITION SUMMARY The Production Lead works alongside the Production Manager to oversee production activities in the Cabinet department. Ensuring tasks are completed on schedule, within budget, and with effective workforce utilization. This is a second shift position, the regular scheduled hours will be Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. with mandatory overtime as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain workflow records and documentation as needed. Keep the work area and equipment clean and orderly, following safety regulations. Assist with preparing work schedules and expediting workflow. Support improvements within the department to enhance cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Inspect work for accuracy, neatness, and adherence to policies and procedures. Provide feedback to management on standardizing procedures to improve worker efficiency. Model appropriate workplace behavior, helping management maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances; consult with Production/Operations Management and Human Resources as needed. Promote the company’s cultural values by providing training, sharing company updates, and encouraging positive thinking and growth among employees. Ensure Quality Control processes and verification check lists for cabinet and door production is followed by assigned employees. Support production employees in manufacturing processes as needed. Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, understanding that this role requires flexibility to accommodate varying schedules. Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Consistent professional communication and demeanor; able to clearly communicate with both management and staff. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and sound judgment. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Exhibits a strong sense of urgency and commitment to customer and company satisfaction. Ability to read a tape measure and apply basic math skills. Knowledge of various machines and tools used in production processes. Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Knowledgeable about safety protocols and proactive in preventing accidents. Willingness and ability to work assigned schedule.
