Position Description: As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a key role in developing and scaling the software that powers our satellite operations, data processing pipelines, and integrations with global ground station networks. You will be responsible for building robust, scalable systems that support satellite tasking, telemetry, data automation, and image processing workflows. You’ll take ownership of complex technical challenges, ensuring high performance, reliability, and efficiency in delivering space-based data solutions. In-Person 5 Days/week from our Bellevue, WA office. Requirements What You’ll Bring Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace, Data Science, or a related field. Professional Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, focusing on cloud-native applications, distributed systems, and backend infrastructure. Proficiency in AWS and Kubernetes, with hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications using Kubernetes on AWS ECS (or EKS). Strong foundation in DevOps automation, microservices architectures, real-time data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, with expertise in Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and React. System Architecture Knowledge: Strong background in designing, scaling, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure, particularly using Kafka (Confluent Cloud), event-driven systems, and high-volume data processing. Ownership & Execution: Ability to independently lead development efforts, ship high-quality code, and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. government regulations. You’ll Impress Us Even More If You Have Deep Ruby on Rails Experience: Expertise in building large-scale applications with RoR. Experience in Rust would be great but not mandatory Image processing experience Astrodynamics, GNC, or physics experience for satellite simulations Benefits Compensation The base salary range for this role is $140K-$160K Stock Option Plan The company offers an equity incentive plan for qualified full-time employees. Health Care Plan Employees (and their families) can be covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. The HSA qualified plan is for full-time employees working 30 hours or more per week. Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Full time employees earn PTO at a rate of 1.33 days per month. Our engineers are well versed in new construction, renovations, additions, analysis, special structures, and design/build projects for a variety of clients. The Structural Discipline provides structural engineering services with emphasis on new design, repair, and rehabilitation of constructed works, as well as investigation and performance evaluation.
