Shop Mechanic (Merrimack)

We're looking for a skilled Shop Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair our landscaping tools and machinery. Job Summary: As a Landscape Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, chainsaws, small engines, trailers, and company vehicles. Your work ensures our crews have safe, reliable equipment to get the job done efficiently. Responsibilities: > Diagnose and repair small engines and landscape equipment > Perform routine maintenance on landscaping tools, trailers, and vehicles > Track equipment service schedules and maintain maintenance logs > Order parts and manage inventory > Maintain a clean and organized shop environment > Assist in equipment setup for new purchases > Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards > Occasionally assist with field repairs or breakdowns > Report damage, misuse, or safety concerns to management Requirements: > 2+ years of experience as a small engine or landscape equipment mechanic > Strong knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines > Ability to read manuals and schematics > Valid driver’s license and clean driving record >Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions > Basic welding or fabrication skills (a plus) What We Offer: > Competitive pay based on experience > Health, dental, and vision insurance > Paid time off and holidays > Uniforms and safety gear provided > Opportunities for advancement and training > Supportive, team-oriented work environment
