Japanese auto shop looking for an A level master automotive tech who's very strong with Japanese vehicles My shop is always busy and we have lots of devoted clients Pay is based on skill and experience, 40 to 50+ per hour or flat rate hour to start is not out of the question for the right person Tech owned shop, attention to detail is a must. Fix it like it's your moms car I get the best quality parts available to do the job right the first time Alldata, Identifix, Mitchell on demand and 2 Snap On scanners are used in the shop All of the right equipment, 7 lifts and specialty tools and an alignment rack. No tire machine so no busting tires Fun place to work and starting at 9am is nice for the commute, lunch provided every Friday Located close in SE Portland •Requirements: • 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience • Strong diagnostic and leadership skills (Most Important) • Ability to communicate clearly with service advisors, team members, and customers • Positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction Duties Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles, focusing primarily on Japanese models. Utilize power tools and equipment effectively to perform repairs and maintenance tasks. Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with service advisors regarding the vehicle needs and repair options. Conduct routine maintenance checks and services to ensure vehicles are operating efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with other service technicians to resolve complex vehicle issues as needed. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Certification from an accredited automotive program is a plus but not required.
