Facility Maintenance Technician will perform skilled and general repairs on building including light plumbing and electrical to ensure facilities are safe, functional, and up to standard. Responsibilities involve preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, general upkeep like painting, managing work order systems, and coordinating with contractors. Key skills include problem-solving, technical knowledge across various trades, and communication to effectively address facility issues. Key Responsibilities • General Repairs: Perform general building maintenance, such as patching drywall, painting and fixing or replacing locks and changing out light fixture Ballasts. • Preventive Maintenance: Implement scheduled inspections and maintenance on critical equipment and systems to prevent failures. • Outdoor Upkeep: Handle upkeep of the building's exterior. • Work Order Management: Use work request systems and CMMS software to track tasks, log activities, and manage inventory. • Coordination: Collaborate with facility managers, contractors, and external service providers for maintenance and repair activities. • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance and repairs adhere to health, safety, and regulatory standards. Essential Skills • Technical Proficiency: Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical. • Problem-Solving: Ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve a wide range of maintenance issues. • Physical Stamina: Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various conditions. • Communication: Skill in verbal and written communication to report issues and coordinate with others. • Safety Awareness: Deep understanding of safety protocols and regulations relevant to facility operations. Work Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Buildings are located near San Jose Airport.
