City of Sacramento | Department of Public Works | Fleet Division | Equipment Mechanic II IDEAL CANDIDATE STATEMENT The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be willing to learn new tasks. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications are desired but not required. Experience: Four years of experience in the general maintenance, servicing, and repair of vehicles and equipment, including two years of experience on heavy gasoline and diesel driven equipment. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS Drivers License: Possession of a valid Class C Driver License is required at the time of appointment. Loss of the Class C License is cause for discipline. Individuals who do not meet this requirement due to a physical disability will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
