Experienced Carpenter: Bellingham Bay Builders is currently seeking experienced carpenters to join our team. Please submit your cover letter and resume. Company: Bellingham Bay Builders is a stable, growing, licensed general contractor with 15+ employees. We are a workers cooperative seeking individuals who are interested in the co-op model and in working within an environment that values craftsmanship, collaboration, mutual learning, and respect. Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and productive belt-on carpenter with at least 3 years of experience who can work on all phases of construction. Qualifications The ideal candidate will bring: • Proven on-the-job carpentry experience • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Comfort using technology for planning and implementation Skills: • Completes work efficiently, accurately, and safely • Able to take direction while contributing to problem-solving • Understands tasks fully and executes to completion • Owns a full set of trade tools, a reliable vehicle, and a smartphone • Physically able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. on stairs, ladders, planks, and scaffolds • Reads and interprets building plans and basic codes • Strong grasp of construction math • Clear verbal and written communication skills • Highly detail-oriented with excellent documentation practices Wages and Benefits: As a workers’ cooperative, pay is based on internal scales designed to provide fair, competitive wages. L&I worker injury insurance, PTO, and mileage reimbursement begin immediately. After a waiting period of 30-days, health insurance becomes available and in time, additional benefits including tool stipend, retirement, and profit sharing become available, based on time with the company, company performance, and ownership status.
