With over 70 years of experience crafting premium Award Jackets in Portland, our embroidery work is a key component of our jackets' distinctive appearance and quality. As an Embroidery Technician, you will operate embroidery machinery to create personalized details on jackets, ensuring high-quality embroidery work that meets our exacting standards. You will work as part of our Embroidery Department team to contribute to our production goals. Key Responsibilities: ● Operate and monitor computerized embroidery machines ● Execute detailed embroidery designs according to customer specifications ● Maintain smooth workflow and meet production goals ● Perform quality checks on completed embroidery work ● Thread and set up machines with appropriate colors and materials ● Troubleshoot basic machine issues and thread breaks ● Maintain embroidery equipment in good working condition ● Collaborate with other departments for timely completion of orders ● Follow established department procedures and safety guidelines ● Report any persistent equipment issues to Embroidery Technician Lead ● Maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements: ● Attention to detail and focus on detailed work ● Experience with embroidery equipment preferred but not required (training provided) ● Strong hand-eye coordination ● Good color perception ● Reliable attendance record ● Commitment to quality and craftsmanship ● Ability to work both independently and as part of a team ● Capability to sit/stand for extended periods ● Willingness to learn new techniques and designs ● High school diploma or equivalent Our comprehensive benefits package includes: ● Health and Life Insurance ● Pre-Tax Health Savings Account ● Retirement Plan with Financial Guidance ● PTO (40 hours annually after first year) ● Sick Leave (40 hours annually after first year) ● Additional benefits detailed in plan summary Settlemier's factory is open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
