Greenland Pest Control is looking for a lawn care worker to join our team. Experience in lawn mowing and landscaping is preferred, we are willing to train in pest control and lawn spraying. Must be in good physical shape, able to lift 50+lb, be comfortable with longer hours and the Florida heat. You must also have a clean drivers license and a good working car. SCOPE: The Renovation Specialist is responsible for completing all construction and renovation on inventory homes in a portfolio of communities. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, inventory home management, portfolio management and project management to ensure community inventory is ready for sale in good physical condition with a stabilized fiscal operation. Use of technology to communicate and report objectives and progress. To adhere to all applicable fair housing laws governing real estate sales, leasing and management maintenance service. The following is meant to cover many of the tasks to be performed, however duties and responsibilities are not conclusive below and can change as the Company deems necessary and as determined by your supervisor: RESPONSIBILITIES: - Use and application of skillset to renovate mobile homes, apartments, offices, and clubhouses, as needed. - Use of hand and power tools to demo and construction of homes, apartments, offices, and clubhouses, as needed - Follow instructions and scope of work with attention to detail and focus on efficiency and cost savings - Attend regular safety training events and hold self and team to high standards for workplace safety - Coordinate and collaborate with Renovation Team Lead to determine proper scopes and scheduling of renovations. - Inspect all inventory homes within region for readiness status. Identify all repairs needed and create a scope of work within estimated costs for all repairs. - Communicate inspection requests, analyze quotes and scopes for accuracy and submit for approval. Follow up with vendors or team for scheduling and completion of work. - Identify areas of inventory needs and completion of renovation of inventory home - Physically examine the inventory and renovation work of the properties on a regular basis - Research building materials and aim to find the best quality and price - Compile weekly inventory reports, tasking, purchase card reconciliations timely and as dictated - Use technology (i.e., mobile phone, tablet, laptop or PC) to create, track, and report progress on all work orders, timesheets, and performance. QUALIFICATIONS: - High School diploma or equivalent is required, College Degree preferred. - Proficient in Excel, MS Office, Internet, and various computer and mobile device applications. - Construction Experience Preferred. - Knowledge and experience in some, or most, areas of rough and finish carpentry, plumbing, electrical, siding, flooring, painting, and home finishing. - Experience in use of hand and power tools used for demo and construction of homes, apartments, offices, and clubhouses, as needed. - Energetic and positive with a sharp eye for detail. - Must be safety and results driven. - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Flexibility to travel up to 25%, some weekends may be required. - Must have a valid driver's license and 3 years of clean driving record. Position Overview The development of the Water Damage Specialist at the intermediate level has four (4) objectives: 1) to act as head of the water damage team that deals with residential losses and small commercial losses; 2) knowledge and technical competence in IICRC's standard work practices on water and mold damage; 3) competence in the use, care and maintenance of water extraction equipment, portable drying equipment and moisture detection instruments; and 4) ability to determine the extent, dimension and distribution of moisture, and to document water losses. Intermediaries provide assistance in the development of basic level technicians and assist advanced technicians in complex or large-scale projects. Intermediaries in CAT service can simultaneously manage multiple losses for water, including the organization and management of temporary workers. To qualify for this position, you must have 12 months of previous experience in the Basic Level of Water Damage in BELFOR or equivalent standard experience in the sector, as well as having directly participated in (at least) 25 water damage projects. This position represents level 3 in the progressive itinerary of Water Damage. Responsibilities Must be able to receive the instructions provided by the Supervisor. Direct the teams in the use of the right PPE for the job. Review the daily requirements of projects, document progress and notify managers of progress and challenges encountered. Provide appropriate field documentation, photographic records, charts and sketches for various TPA projects. Perform daily inspections of vehicle safety and maintenance and keep these clean and in perfect conditions of use. Attention to details. The professional will be obliged to comply with the standards of BELFOR to safeguard the property of other people. Must have a deep knowledge of customer service, as well as the principles and practices of this. Ability to work with time constraints to meet specific deadlines. You will be periodically requested to travel and work at night and during weekends. You must inform in a timely and accurate manner about the time worked and the equipment and consumables used. Create moisture maps using tools and knowledge provided Supervise small crews on above tasks Additional duties as required Qualifications Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard Carry current IICRC WRT designation Must demonstrate familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book Must demonstrate proper use of appropriate meters and IR camera, understanding of affected vs unaffected building materials and contents.
