JOB SUMMARY: The Apartment Maintenance Porter is responsible for providing excellent resident service through daily maintenance projects as assigned by the direct supervisor. Punctuality, professionalism, and strong customer-service skills are also needed to support the initiatives of this position. This person must have a car to travel between properties within a 3-mile radius ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Establish working relationships with supervisors (PM or Maintenance), residents, and vendors. 2. Maintain building lighting, including light fixture and bulbs. 3. Maintain the maintenance shops in a clean and orderly fashion 4. Meet vendors and provide apartment access 5. Pick up materials at Home Depot as directed by your supervisor. Customer Service/Safety: 1. Adhere to safety protocols when completing maintenance tickets to ensure the safety of yourself and residents. 2. Provides timely communication maintenance concerns or trouble tickets with Property Manager Minimum Experience/Training Education: • High School diploma or GED • Valid driver’s license • Must have a reliable vehicle for travel between assigned locations • Two years of relevant experience preferred ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: •. Dependable, on-time, and good time management skills • General maintenance engineer experience. • Reliable Vehicle. • Legal to work in the United States. SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position. The schedule will require 40 hours per week. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasionally requires lifting 50 pounds or less.
