Charles River C# Developer Needed at a Leading NYC Hedge Fund Location: NY, NY (Hybrid - 3 days in office) Compensation: TBD, This is a contract position. You will sign a consulting agreement and be paid a per diem rate. WE NEED YOU: We are seeking a Charles River CRIMS C# Developer to design, develop, and maintain the services and APIs that support a complex, data-driven web application for the financial industry. The ideal candidate will have experience building high-performance, scalable applications using ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, and Azure cloud services. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, business stakeholders, and data teams to ensure seamless integration between the backend and the user interface. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using ASP.NET Core to support frontend functionality. • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance backend architecture. • Work closely with frontend developers to ensure smooth API integration. • Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, indexing, and query tuning. • Implement data access layers using Entity Framework Core or other ORM frameworks. • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into backend modules and services. • Design and implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth, OpenID Connect, or Azure AD. • Implement event-driven architecture with message queues (e.g., Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or NServiceBus). • Ensure data consistency and integrity across different modules and databases. • Optimize application performance and scalability to handle large volumes of financial data. • Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure reliability and maintainability of the codebase. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development best practices. • Deploy and manage applications in Azure cloud environments using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL. • Monitor and troubleshoot backend performance issues, logging, and error handling. REQUIRED SKILLS: • Experience with Charles River CRD platform • 8+ years of experience in development using C# and ASP.NET Core/Angular. • Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices. • Experience with SQL Server and proficiency in writing efficient queries, stored procedures, and optimizing database performance. • Knowledge of Entity Framework Core or other ORM frameworks. • Familiarity with Azure cloud services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Azure Service Bus. • Experience with authentication and security standards such as OAuth2, JWT, and OpenID Connect. • Experience in event-driven architectures and working with message brokers like RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or Kafka. • Understanding of scalability, performance tuning, and caching mechanisms (Redis, Azure Cache for Redis, etc.). • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. • Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. The Client Relations Manager will serve as the primary point of contact and the overall relationship manager for a number of PAC and advocacy technology and website services clients. The Client Relations Manager will oversee all post-sale activities associated with the client and will be responsible for ensuring that client projects are delivered on time and within budget. The Account Manager will also be responsible for managing client expectations, communicating project status information, increasing customer satisfaction, ensuring customer retention, engaging in proactive communication, identifying and pursuing up sell opportunities, and resolving product/business issues experienced by the clients. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact and overall relationship manager for assigned customers. Serve as the project manager for the setup and launch of the client’s PAC and/or advocacy software suite. Train clients on the proper use of the PAC and/or advocacy software to meet their program goals and objectives. Serve as the liaison between the customer and the internal technical teams and translate general business requirements into high level technical specifications. Document custom technical product requirements originating from clients and test those custom features once deployed by the development team. Identify and pursue upsell opportunities. Attend events and conferences as a representative of the company and the department. Salary Range: $60k-$72k per year Requirements BA/BS in political science, communications, business, international affairs or related field. 2-5 years of relevant work experience. Proven track record in the area of customer relationship management. Professional and interpersonal skills required to develop and foster positive relationships. Project management proficiency. Provide end-to-end delivery and operational performance of network services supporting DoD missions across IL4/5/6 environments. The SDM owns SLAs/SLOs, service governance, compliance alignment, vendor performance, and continuous improvement across data center, campus/branch, WAN/SD WAN, boundary security, and cloud connectivity. This role coordinates cross functional teams (Routing/Switching, Boundary Security, Platform, Cyber, Field Ops, Vendors) to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-effective services Establish the service vision, charter, and roadmap aligned to agency objectives and portfolio priorities Lead Service Governance (CAB/CCB/ARB participation) balancing velocity, reliability, and security; maintaining decision records and traceability Define and maintain network service policies, operating level agreements (OLAs), underpinning contracts (UCs), and escalation matrices Own Service Catalog entries for network services (definitions, owners, SLAs/SLOs, dependencies, support model, runbooks) Coordinate readiness for new/changed services (support model, staffing, monitoring/alerting, KPIs, DR/backup, ATO evidence, handover) Forecast demand and plan capacity (circuits, bandwidth, ports, licenses, spares, staff) to meet growth and seasonal mission loads Manage budgets, cost to serve, and chargeback/show back;
