Greetings, Through end of the year I am the drummer/ lead and harmony vocalist with a lucrative north bay band. I have been with the guys in a few iterations for about 15 years. Anyway long story short, gave notice after 1st of new year citing new challenges, all friendly. What I am looking for is to be in a band that is passionate about not just the music, money, drinks, food, but harmonies. Passable is not what I am talking about. I already have that. Over the top is not what I am talking about as that becomes vocal pyrotechnics. I am talking about that sweet spot in the middle that is soulful, like when vocalists from the same family sing together. Think Eagles, Doobies, Marshall Tucker, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, and any other band that has that special harmony magic. Even Van Halen in their early iterations made sure to incorporate that signature harmony in their songs. Other than Eddie's killer solos, its what most remember, like Jamie's Cryin', Dance the Night Away; great harmonies. Am I a hired gun? Yes and no. I work in a few bands several times a year for some larger shows at Hard Rock main stage in Wheatland for instance Jan. 9th backing Rob Ely as Elvis. Moving forward I would like to fill a slot for a working cover: classic rock/ straight country/ newer country band that needs a solid danceable back beat and lead/ harmony vocals. In this video: I sing a raised 3 on Watermelon Crawl and a passable inv. 5 which I do on Wagon Wheel. The last song on the vid is Alan Jacksons 'Song for the Life', and that is my lead vocal. https://youtu.be/igmwV-MF6Cg?si=ouRMP8KFWVnRnwCT I am a team player and come prepared and always early to gigs. I use in-ear monitors and am click friendly. So if a song starts at 96 bpm, it ends at the same tempo. I am more about that than being a flashy soloist. Dancers don't care about solos. The ghost notes that I place make the sound totally non-mechanical. All swing when I drum. No brag, just fact. Interested parties should have links to their songs, etc. Then we can move on from there if a fit. Thanks for giving a listen, Cheers All!
