Club 390 - Gentlemen's Club The Short Order Cook/ Bar Back is responsible for preparing light menu food items and maintaining the bar area for a leading gentlemen’s club in a South Suburb of Chicago. The Short Order Cook must adhere to high food quality in a fast food environment. Essential Job Functions as follows: • Cook and prepare all menu items. • Prepare light menu fare such as salads, sandwiches, wings and etc… • Responsible for operating cooking equipment such as grills and deep-fat fryers. • Ensure that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored, utensils cleaned and put away and floor is swept and mopped at the end of shift. • Maintain sanitation of all kitchen and bar equipment, including commercial ice machine and health and safety standards in work areas. • Keep the bar(s) stocked and help with the cleaning of glasses, dishes, removal of trash and as necessary small task during the shift to keep the bar(s) operational. • Must demonstrate the company standard for excellent attendance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to communicate with co-workers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner. • Ability to speak, read and write in English. • Possess valid food handling certificate as required by state and federal regulations. Education, Qualifications and Experience: • Experience working as a cook in a fast food environment. • High school diploma or equivalent. Salary: Based on Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
