Customer Service FOH Bakery (Darien)

Base Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Job description: FLOUR WATER SALT BREAD (FWS) is looking for a FULL TIME Front of House Team Member (FOH, customer service) to help customers with their purchases in the bakery. This role will include customer service, setting up and packing a display at the beginning and end of a shift, packing orders and using the register. Some light prep (salads, sandwiches, etc) will also be included. Daily clean up is also included in this position. FWS is a growing artisan boulangerie, bakery, and prepared foods retailer. We produce the majority of the products that we sell in our own kitchen - sourdough bread, pastry & viennoiserie, tarts, pizzas, donuts, danish, cookies and prepared lunch options served on our own bread. FWS is looking for the perfect human: a smiling, energetic, uplifting food lover that is good with customers and maintains a clean and organized workspace. This role demands the ability to be on foot without sitting for hours at a time. The candidate should also be able to lift 25 lbs. Days and hours for this position are CURRENTLY: Tuesday-Saturday 7am-4pm, may vary slightly by week This is a part time position and should provide a minimum of 40 hours per week for the right candidate. Holidays may require additional days/hours outside the standard scheduling. Tips are split EQUALLY among ALL staff members and average approximately $2-3/hr - this will be in addition to the stated pay range ($20-22, so 22-25) and is DOE. Tips are tax free!! 401k with employer match and 2 weeks PTO (paid time off) is granted after 1 year of service with the company. Valid SSN is required for payroll/direct deposit. Prior experience should include similar work in customer service or work in some sort of a foodservice role. Interviews and trial shifts will be conducted prior to hiring.
