The employee will need to follow department standard operating procedures, policies, as well as company guidelines, and will be actively involved with our Lu’au check-in process while greeting, assisting and directing guests as needed. • Greeting – Our greeter positions involve welcoming all guests; assisting as needed – such as directing guests on where to check-in, and/or directing guests to their assigned seats, or by simply being able to provide information, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service while sharing genuine Aloha Spirit. After training, the employee will be expected to work independently or side by side with other individuals to accomplish a successful check-in experience for our guests. Summary or duties: To maintain the highest level of cleanliness and maintenance throughout properties and provide superior customer service to the employees and guests of Na Hoaloha Ekolu. Task Summary includes but not limited to the following items - Sweep and mop an area of 2100 sq. ft. or larger - Rake an area of 2500 square feet or larger - Walk and stand approximately 7 to 8 hours per day - Be able to use a variety of garden tools but not limited to sickles, pruners, shovels etc.) when necessary - Be able to work with a variety of cleaning chemicals not limited to (i.e. Clorox, Simple Green, Ajax, Pretty Potty, Latex Gloves, Lemon Oil etc) - Knowledge and experience with the use of a pressure washer, back pack blower, lawn mower, weed eater etc. - Be able to operate a commercial size pressure washer - Be able to operate a back pack blower - Clean restrooms that may include basic repair of clogged lines and drains etc., which also includes blood bourne pathogens - General knowledge of painting skills (paint brushes, painters tape etc.) - Be able to operate wood working power tools when working on projects (ex. tables, chairs, canoe, tiki etc) List of tools includes but not limited to: - Sanders - Drills - Rotary tools - Drill press - Drills In addition: - Able to recognize and address safety hazards immediately - Be exposed to different weather elements - Able to lift at least 50 pounds and bend knees when necessary - Ability to handle a fast changing environment and works well under pressure - Understands and follows written and oral directions - Must attend all mandatory meetings - Displays and appreciates each team members contributions and values each individual member of the maintenance team Required Training: - OSHA (Haz Com Program, Blood Bourne Pathogens, CPR, First Aid etc.) - Must complete passport training and supplements - Valid Driver's License - Non-Essential Functions Participates in cultural and community events. Duties include training staff, greeting guests, resolving customer complaints, providing hands-on help to service teams, leading daily pre-shifts with staff. Participate in Staff Meetings. Establishes and maintains good communication and relationships with staff. Our Performance Expectations are: • The Lu'au Restaurant Manager is responsible for every aspect the guest's experience, and to provide the staff with tools and support to service these guests. • The Lu'au Restaurant Manager is a co-manager position who works with one or two other co-managers daily and reports to the Lu'au General Manager. • Participate in training and performance reviews for service staff, following the standards set for each area and using the passport as a base guide • Make appropriate adjustments daily, as needed to maintain our high standard of service. • Resolves all customer complaints, immediate and/or post visit. • Provides hands-on help for any of the service teams, including facilitating the resolution of conflicts between or within teams • Daily inspiration to staff to maintain a high level of energy • Greet and service guests with true aloha and hospitality • Passes all training required of front line staff positions within 6 months • Helps Maintains inventory of service products, glassware, silver, uniforms • Leads staff in cleaning and maintaining of all work areas, furniture, equipment and fixtures, coordinating with the Maintenance department. • Participate in meetings and management training/workshops • Leads daily pre-shifts and attends monthly staff meetings • Establishes and maintains good communication and a positive working relationship with the Sales team, maintenance crew, Entertainment cast, and culinary crew. • Works closely with culinary staff on food quality, taste, and presentation.
