Hog Haven Farm seeking help for its farmers market operation in the Merrifield and surrounding areas. We are a family run heritage hog farm who also vends hot food (made on-site breakfast sandwiches featuring the pork we raise) at multiple farmers market locations in the area (mostly weekend mornings) [www.HogHavenFarm.com]. We need both cooks and front-of-booth salespeople. Some kitchen and/or front house restaurant experience a plus, but will train the right candidates. Preference given to those comfortable in both the front and the back. Most shifts are weekend mornings, 4 to 6 hours per shift, at locations mostly in NoVa, some in DC and MD. Location you work from shift to shift will generally vary. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to go where needed. **Especially in need of those that have a vehicle (SUV or larger) and who can and are willing to carry supplies to and from the market (extra comp for this).** Preference also given to those willing to work some hours Friday afternoons and after the weekend markets at our Merrifield warehouse, helping to clean up and reset for the next day's markets.
