Youth League Tennis (YLT) was created by Laura Kassirer, a former Wimbledon player, so all kids can learn and compete with players of equal level in their own community. YLT is open to kids ages 5-14, beginner through intermediate players. • Goal: To grow the game of tennis, introduce families to local quality tennis pros, and help kids get ready to play High School tennis. We are looking to hire tennis coaches ages 18 and older to teach back-to-back groups of kids for our 8-week sessions. Sessions meet Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall on Saturday and Sundays. Fall Session is ongoing. Winter session starts late January. Locations where we are hiring: • Torrance - Saturdays 11:30am-4:30pm or 2:30pm-4:30pm • Glendale - Saturdays 5:30pm-7pm • Burbank- Sundays 4pm-5:30pm or 4pm-7pm • Calabasas - Sundays 9am-12pm • Torrance - Sundays 1pm-4pm All coaches are hired as part time employees and if driving more than 20 minutes each way, we compensate for drive time as well. • Assistant Coaches are paid: $30/hour - $35/hour depending upon experience and whether you are hired to be a lead or assistant coach. We are looking for reliable, positive, personable, engaging, energetic individuals who want to help grow the game of tennis and enjoy working with kids. We would love to talk to anyone who played at a 4.0 level or higher! This is also a perfect job for coaches or college students looking for part-time work, to expand your network, and/or meet additional families in your area! We provide: tennis balls for each level, personalized medals, and progress reports for all participants. Kids bring their own rackets. We may also need tennis coaches during the weekdays in Glendale, Torrance, the Inland Empire (Chino Hills and Diamond Bar) and Orange County (Anaheim, Placentia, Yorba Linda). The B.U. University Initiative ​ Our purpose is to empower youth in urban communities through the education of self and cultural history, talent coaching, and volunteering. B.U. is an enrichment group focused on uniting dysfunctional communities and cultivating wholesome living environments for local residents. We require all employees taking part in the initiative to maintain a reputable image in the community as well as demonstrating exemplary leadership towards unifying the community. ​ B.U. will begin its operations in Beaverton OR, with plans to start similar initiatives across America in the near future. B.U. will host public venues that allow local residents to display their talents to win donated prizes. The B.U. venues will be of no charge to its participants. All performances must be free of foul language, gang orientation, sexism, and ethnocentrism. B.U. will accommodate performers with bottled water and a “Be You Alumni” shirt or a Be You University hoodie. Other refreshment and entertainment venues may be available for purchase via merchandise vendors. ​ A HI-five team member will orchestrate the schematics of each B.U. Initiative venue.
