Job Posting: Creative Steps Toddler Montessori – Toddler Teacher About Us: Creative Minds Academy, launched in 2002 by Will and Yvette Henricus, offers a world-class Montessori education for Burien children. We've grown to two centers: Creative Minds Academy (ages 3-6) and Creative Steps (ages 18 months-3 years). Join Our Team: We have a full-time opening at our warm and welcoming preschool, working with children from 18 months to 3 years old. Our team-oriented environment fosters professional development with opportunities to learn the Montessori Method. The Position: This full-time position offers flexible split shifts. We seek a kind, considerate, and enthusiastic individual passionate about early childhood development and eager to join our team of Teachers. Comprehensive training on the Montessori Method is provided. Responsibilities: • Assist Teachers in implementing the Montessori curriculum (sensory play, practical life skills activities, etc.) • Collaborate with the team to create a positive and stimulating learning environment for all children. • Ensure compliance with state and local health regulations. • Supervise on the playground, prepare snacks, set up classroom materials, and assist with routine cleaning. • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Excellent verbal and written English (bilingual a plus!). • Must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check. • Have a negative TB test or chest x-ray. • Willingness to obtain required certifications (CPR & First Aid, HIV/Aids & Blood Borne Pathogens, Washington State Food Handlers Permit). • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, stoop, and be generally active. • Willingness to complete online and in-person trainings. Providing support and guidance to students to help them achieve their language learning goals. Participating in training sessions and workshops provided by TEEI to enhance your teaching skills. Requirements Experience in teaching or tutoring language learners. Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in a multicultural team. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Passion for helping underprivileged communities through education. Fluent in Italian. Having a language teaching certificate is highly valued. Good level of spoken/written English.
