Overview: We are looking for reliable Delivery Drivers to support our Wellness & Grocery Program. The Driver will be responsible for picking up and dropping off items while adhering to assigned routes, time schedules, and safety guidelines, keeping customer experience top of mind. Delivery Drivers are polite and prompt, with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience. The FareRx Grocery Program prepares and delivers fresh groceries to members of the Philadelphia community. The position will give you experience with sustainable and local food supply chain and distribution operations. You will need transportation to our Headquarters in Philadelphia daily. From there, you will pickup a delivery van (Ford Transit or similar) which you will take out on your route for the day. Deliveries are made to Philadelphia, Delaware, Bucks, Montgomery, and Chester Counties. Our team will plan the routes for you and you will be provided with access to our routing and delivery app that will map out your schedule for the day. Most drivers will deliver between 25-40 bags per day depending on the distance to your first customer. **Please note that no tips are to be expected or taken from the customers that drivers are delivering to. Asking for or accepting tips will be grounds for dismissal.** Responsibilities: ● Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients in a safe and timely manner ● Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles ● Notifying customers of delivery and answering customer questions to ensure we are providing excellent service ● Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules ● Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record ● Provide the proper documentation of deliveries to logistics team Qualifications & Requirements: ● High School Diploma or equivalent ● Valid driver's license issued by the state of Pennsylvania ● Clean driving record ● Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws ● Strong time management and customer service skills ● Ability to walk, drive, and lift/carry heavy items (20 lbs) ● Attention to detail Schedule: This is a short-term contract role running from October 20 through October 31, with shifts on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays Mondays: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Thursdays and Fridays: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM There may be opportunities for additional delivery work in future weeks depending on company needs and your performance. Note: Schedule may vary due to duration, traffic, and/or weather conditions. About FareRx: At FareRx we believe that food is medicine.
