Cleans and disinfects each exam room thoroughly after each clinic and documents completion on Work Surface Decontamination Log. • Replaces Sharps Containers in each exam room when ¾ full with a new sharps container. Transports full sharps container to designated Bio-Hazard area and routinely stocks and cleans rooms, orders necessary supplies as needed and in coordination with nursing leadership • Assures continuity of patient care by tracking and obtaining outstanding lab and test results for all patient visits. • Performs EKG’s as ordered by providers. • Performs additional tasks such as Telederm and RetinaVue processes as ordered by providers. • Assists providers during sessions by copying and faxing patient care documents as assigned by provider or nurse. • Answers department telephone line and task box, if appropriate. • Assists quality improvement efforts within the department as assigned. • Collaborates with other department staff to ensure patient access and continuity of care.
